Carmindy's New Smoky Eye Kit Makes One Heck of a Stocking Stuffer - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Leave it to makeup artist Carmindy (of TLC's What Not To Vesture) to brand smokey eyes even easier than flipping your hair (well, almost). 🙂

Her new Perfect Smoky Eyes Kit ($23, function of the Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy line) comes with iii analogous eye products perfect for creating understated, elegant, just manifestly pretty smokey optics.

What ya get

• Eye Shadow Palette in Tempest: Three shimmery shades in greyness, taupe and beige
• Elevator & Define Mascara in Jet Blackness: A lengthening, glossy black
• Always Perfect Liquid Center Liner in Black Onyx: A sheer liquid liner

The step-past-step directions on the back are easy to follow, also, and it took me less than five minutes to bang out this look. Big ups for making my makeup life easier, Carmindy!

A few things…

• The Storm Eyeshadow Palette takes height honors every bit my favorite of the agglomeration. The shadows feel buttery and uncommonly smooth, making them a sure-fire to blend.
• Always Perfect Liquid Eye Liner applies a fiddling sheerer than I'd like. I think it works fine equally an eyeshadow base, but information technology'south kinda watery and challenging to layer and smudge. I may stick with LORAC Front end of the Line Pro when I want super well-baked, nighttime black cat centre lines.
• Lift & Define Mascara produces lovely long, withal natural lashes, but I like more BAM! It might benefit from a layer of a thickening mascara practical first.

With the kit this wait was really easy to practice. I think it'll make a great souvenir for a BFF who shall remain nameless. 🙂 She'southward non really a difficult core makeup girl, but she'due south shown an interest in smokey eyes.
